Planscape is a family oriented company in the greatest sense, from the amazing hard working employees, and the Rutledges (five of whom work for the company ) that have built the company from nothing over the last 17 years, to the clients that continue to look to Planscape for truly creative landscape experiences. Never striving to be the biggest, but rather always striving to be the best, Planscape has utilized the multitude of talent its close-knit group of employees bring to the table to create landscapes of distinction that always exceed the expectations of our clients.
Phil Rutledge - President/Owner
Phil Rutledge has horticulture in his veins, his great grandfather Marinas sold nursery stock in Columbia City starting around 1878, and Phil himself has been involved for over 30 years. He worked for Broadview greenhouse as a teenager, Co-founded Broadview Landscaping in 1978, and Planscape in 1991. Simply, Landscape design is his passion and after 30 years there is nothing he'd rather be doing.
Hank Berning - Project Supervisor
Hank has been an outstanding asset to Planscape, and has been with the company since the early days in 1991. Bringing his prior experience as a fencing company owner, as well as his knowledge of swimming pool construction, Hank has been capable of getting the tough jobs done for over 17 years.
Ryan Rutledge - Maintenance Supervisor
Ryan grew up watching Planscape grow right beside him, and had a chance to rejoin the company in 2004 after gaining valuable experience working with several national Nursery and Landscaping companies.
The Flores Brothers - Crew Leaders
These brothers are true artisans who craft some of the finest stone landscape elements that can be found anywhere. Be it garden walls, light posts, walkways, or patios, their craftsmanship is truly second to none. Having been with Planscape since 1997, they have the experience to make sure every project is truly one of a kind.
Kendra Rutledge - Office Manager
Kendra uses her organizational, tax, accounting, and computer skills to make sure Planscape runs smoothly each and every day.
Peggy Rutledge - Assistant Office Manager
Peggy, Phil's Wife, has been a driving force for Planscape since the beginning. Together they have seen the company through 17 years of strong growth. Peggy is currently the dealer for Shadetree Retractable Canopies, which make great additions to Planscape's custom landscaping.
Colleen Markwood - Marketing
Don't let the last name fool you, Colleen is part of the Rutledge clan as well. Colleen manages all of Planscape's marketing and advertising.
